Every Varette piece is made for everyday wear and named plainly by its finish and its stone or pearl type. A few simple habits keep gold-tone surfaces, cubic zirconia, and pearls clean and bright.

Materials we use

• Stainless steel with a gold-tone finish: Stainless steel or a gold-tone base metal with a gold-coloured surface finish (not solid gold). Each product page names the base metal where our supplier confirms it.
• Cultured freshwater pearls & simulated pearls: Each product page states whether a piece uses cultured freshwater pearls (grown in freshwater mussels) or simulated pearls.
• Cubic zirconia: Faceted lab-created stones set in rings, earrings, necklaces, and bracelets.

Daily care for gold-tone & stainless steel jewelry

• Put jewelry on last—after perfume, hairspray, sunscreen, lotion, or cosmetics have dried.
• Remove pieces before swimming in chlorinated pools or salt water, using harsh household cleaners, or heavy exercise.
• After wearing, wipe each piece gently with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to remove skin oils.
• Store pieces individually in a soft pouch or a lined jewelry box so clasps and stones do not scratch adjacent surfaces.

Caring for cultured freshwater & simulated pearls

• Pearls have a delicate surface that can be dulled by acids in perfume, hairspray, and skin oils—always apply cosmetics before putting pearls on.
• Never soak pearls in chemical jewelry dips, ultrasonic cleaners, or abrasive polishes.
• Wipe pearls with a barely damp or dry soft cloth after wear and let them air-dry flat before storing in a soft pouch.
