This policy explains what personal information Varette collects, why, who we share it with and the choices you have. Varette is operated by Interactive Ecommerce LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company (Wyoming filing ID 2023-001289041), registered office (registered agent, mail only): 1309 Coffeen Avenue, STE 10801, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States ("we", "us"). We are the controller of your personal information.
What we collect
- Information you give us: name, email, phone number, shipping and billing address, and what you write to us.
- Order information: the products you buy, order value and order history. Payment card details are handled by our payment providers; we do not see or store full card numbers.
- Device and usage information: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed and how you reached our site, collected with cookies and similar technologies.
Required data: we need your name, address, email and payment to fulfil an order; without them we cannot accept it.
Why we use it
- To process, ship and support your order (performance of a contract).
- To send emails you ask for, such as order updates, and marketing if you opt in (consent, which you can withdraw at any time).
- To run, secure and improve the store, and to measure and improve our advertising (legitimate interests, or consent where the law requires it).
- To meet legal duties such as tax and accounting records (legal obligation).
Automated decisions: our payment providers and Shopify screen orders for fraud automatically; if an order is blocked you can ask a person to review it.
Who we share it with
- Shopify, which hosts our store and processes checkout.
- Payment providers, to process payments and prevent fraud.
- Our fulfilment partner and shipping carriers, to pack, ship and track your order.
- Analytics and advertising partners such as Google and Meta, to measure visits and advertising, where you have agreed to it where consent is required.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
We do not sell your personal information for money.
Transfers: Google and Meta receive data under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; other partners outside the EU, including suppliers in China, under the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Tools: Shopify (store and checkout), Google Ads tag (ad measurement), Meta pixel (ad measurement), only after you accept them in the cookie banner.
Cookies
We use cookies that the store needs to work (for example your bag) and, with your consent where required, cookies for analytics and advertising. You can change your choice in the cookie banner or your browser settings.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept as long as tax and accounting law requires, usually up to 7 years. Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe. Other data is deleted when we no longer need it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent. California residents can also ask what we have collected and opt out of "sharing" for cross-context advertising (Your privacy choices), and we will not treat you differently for using these rights. In the EU, the UK and Norway you can also complain to your data protection authority. To make a request, email support@varette.com; we may need to confirm your identity first and reply within the time the law allows.
Marketing: you can object to direct marketing at any time by unsubscribing or emailing us.
Children
The store is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
